Plodder: Rather than being a water giant, Mee-Shee is a plastic monster
10 April 2012
Canada's own Loch Ness monster appears in this fantasy film, directed by John Henderson. It lives in a remote lake where a small boy (Daniel Magder) goes with his father (Bruce Greenwood) to locate a valuable drill designed to access crude oil.
But the drill falls into the hands of crooks - and Mee-Shee ends up as the hero of the day.
Unfortunately, he's the most plastic monster ever created by the late Jim Henson's Creature Shop, and the film is a plodder.
