AS many as 85,000 private Italian investors bought the e1.9bn (£1.3bn) of bonds of scandal-hit Parmalat that were sold into the domestic market, the Bank of Italy said today. The remaining 80% of the total of e7bn of bonds went to foreign banks. Italian banks had
e3bn of exposure.
