THE Co-operative Bank, the financial institution which trades on its ethical stance, reported a ninth consecutive year of profits growth today. The bank lifted full-year pre-tax profits by 14% to a record £122.5m. Bad debts as a proportion of the loan book fell from 1.71% to 1.6%.
