Tommy Cooper’s fez to be sold ... just like that
12 April 2012
The last fez owned by comedian Tommy Cooper is being sold along with other props that formed his act.
Cooper owned a small number of the red felt hats that became his trademark during his career.
He first wore them when he served as a member of the forces' entertainers Naafi in Cairo during the Second World War.
Cooper, whose catchphrase was "jus' like that", died on stage in 1984.
The fez is being sold by his family at Christie's with an estimate of £3,000.
