Dirty Dicks is a city institution

DIRTY DICKS

A city institution in the heart of Bishopsgate, Dirty Dick's was established in 1745 and is steeped in history; it is thought that its namesake was Dickens' inspiration for Miss Haversham in Great Expectations.

Set over three levels, this idiosyncratic, deeply traditional pub is crammed full of strange and wonderful artefacts, which will keep you engrossed for hours.

Beer lovers are rewarded with the full range of award winning Young's cask ales as well as Wells Bombardier and a selection of top quality lagers and speciality beers to complement the tempting menu of traditional and satisfying fayre, while wine buffs cannot fail to be delighted by the diverse, extensive wine list.

The champagne selection is certainly a level above the usual pub offering; Laurent Perrier is not exactly on tap, but this is as close as you will get outside of a champagne bar.

There is a selection of traditional British dishes on offer as well as Modern European twists and the famous fish and chips comes highly recommended; we're not just saying that.

Available over any of the three floors, you can pick and choose the atmosphere to match your mood.

All this, and only minutes away from Liverpool Street Station: perfect for a pint or two to prepare you for the joys of rush hour.
