The lowdown on Young's Beers

Young's Bitter : 3.7% abv

Don't be fooled - all beers are not created equal! Young's Bitter sets the standard. We call it "natural brewing excellence" and it is at the forefront of everything we do – from the passion in brewing the beers through to our advertising campaign.

Young's is brewed with pride and passion, and this is fundamental to the ingredients we use. We only use four natural ingredients and we don't use any artificial colours (unlike some beers).

Young's Bitter shares the heritage of 175 years of brewing expertise. Today Young's Bitter one of the fastest growing, and most loved cask beers in England and Wales.

It is also the first cask beer brand to carry the Red Tractor logo. This stamp of approval guarantees that the Maris Otter barley we use is of the highest quality and grown on assured farms in the UK (Norfolk to be precise!)

The water we use is so pure, it has been accredited as natural mineral water – so we could sell it as bottled water! But we don't, because then there wouldn't be enough for our beers.

With high levels of awareness and popularity amongst beer drinkers nationally, Young's Bitter is a quaffable, sessionable' pint, whose lower ABV recognises the need for responsible drinking.

Young's Bitter is available in cask and also bottled conditioned. Bottle conditioned means yeast is left in the bottle to give a fresher taste. The beer undergoes a secondary fermentation which means the fizz' you taste is completely natural, and the taste is even fresher. In fact it is the nearest thing you can get to cask beer in a bottle.

Tasting notes
"A refreshing beer, golden in colour, with a light, dry palate, a fresh, fruity aroma and a long, satisfying bitter finish".

Young's London Gold : 4.0% abv

Young's London Gold is the latest edition to the Young's cask portfolio. As the name suggests it's a golden ale with a refreshing taste and appeals to ale and lager drinkers alike, due to its easy drinking taste profile.
