Online furniture retailer Loaf is on the hunt for a second showroom after sales rocketed in the first half of the year.

The London-based firm, which specialises in British-made sofas, beds and tables, has continued the momentum gained last financial year, when it notched up profits of £1.8 million on annual sales of £20 million.

The firm plans to open a second ‘Loaf Shack’ to complement its west London showroom next year and has unveiled a medium-term turnover target of £100 million.

Monsoon Accessorize founder Peter Simon took a minority stake in the online retailer earlier this year. He will hope the brand can emulate the success of rival Made.com, which has grown rapidly and is reportedly eyeing a flotation.
