The UK's pork producers are toasting a new deal to increase exports to China.

A UK trade mission to Beijing this week has promised increased exports to China and confirmed a £50 million deal.

Jim Paice, the farms minister, lead the envoy and said: "China is the most lucrative grocery market in the world.

"In particular they are eating more meat, and our top quality producers have got huge opportunities to meet that demand and help our economic recovery."
