DJ Bruno Brookes hit by loss of in-store radio contract

Counting the cost: Former DJ Bruno Brookes saw £23,000 wiped off his stake
11 April 2012

Former Radio 1 DJ Bruno Brookes today suffered a blow when his company Immedia lost a contract to supply in-store radio to the Lloyds Pharmacy chain.

Immedia shares plunged 14% to a three-year low of 5.6p. Chief executive Brookes - whose real first name is Trevor - holds almost 18% of the company.

That means he saw £23,000 wiped off his personal holding, which is now worth around £145,000.

Brookes said that Lloyds had axed its contract after nine years "for reasons unconnected with Immedia", and is "confident that we will announce new business shortly".
