Jupiter is ready to float at £790m

Fund manager Jupiter looked set to announce its flotation price at the lower end of expectations later today.

Market sources said that the order book for new shares closed at around lunchtime at a price of 160p to 170p.

Two weeks ago the price range was set at 150p to 210p. At the lower price the flotation will value Jupiter at some £790 million and it will make multi-millionaires of some of the fund manager's top management.
