Lord Sugar-backed clinics firm expands in London

A cosmetics surgery business backed by entrepreneur Lord Sugar and run by ‘Botox queen’ Dr Leah Totton, on Friday opened its largest ever clinic in a move that doubles its presence in the UK.

Totton, the winner of Lord Sugar’s The Apprentice show in 2013, said the new 2000 square feet Baker Street branch marks Dr Leah Clinics’ biggest-ever investment. She has other outposts in Moorgate and Essex.

The new site will offer treatments such as hair transplants, thread facelifts, mole removals and botox . There will also be a secret VIP underground entrance to give clients added privacy.

Totton said: “Expansion is in response to huge demand. TV shows and press coverage of botched cosmetic work have meant in recent years the general public have become more aware of the risk of having cosmetic treatments performed by non-medically qualified practitioners. They are seeking out reputable doctor led clinics such as ours.” The entrepreneur has a 50% stake in the business.

Lord Sugar, who originally invested £250,000 into Dr Leah Clinics and is the other 50% owner, told the Standard: “Brexit uncertainty is not having any impact on customer numbers, and we have benefited from clients seeking quality.”
