Shieldtech’s shares are suspended

A company which supplies body armour to the Metropolitan Police today ordered its shares to be suspended at 2½p "pending clarification of its financial position".

Shieldtech blamed delays in police forces issuing tenders for body armour for which it was selected as a preferred supplier in 2008.

Shieldtech floated on the junior alternative investment market at 25p a share in 2007.
