Experts today warned that vegans would be exempt from compulsory workplace Covid jabs, with employers facing legal action if they insist upon vaccination.

The vaccine itself does not contain animal products, but medications undergo animal testing.

Half a million Brits are currently estimated to be vegan, so would not have to adhere to “jabs for jobs” rules, which Dominic Raab has described as a “smart policy”.
