Killing Cupid
by Louise Voss and Mark Edwards
(HarperCollins, £6.99)

Alex is a stalker. He’s in someone’s flat. The occupant of the flat lies dead several storeys below. Alex bolts, remembering to leave no traces. When he sees the body, he thinks he’s going to be sick but he doesn’t want to leave his DNA at the scene. Then we go back in time, to the moment when Alex falls in love with the woman who teaches his evening class in writing. She’s 35 and attractive. She’s written a novel a tiny bit like Fifty Shades of Grey. So he hacks a computer to get her personal details, steals her key and when she leaves her house, he breaks in. He learns about her. He feeds her cat. Creepy. It won’t take you long to read.
