London's best improv comedy nights

London’s lust for improv laughs is greater than ever, with venues hosting nights for quick-thinking comedians. Here’s our pick:

Although half the show has passed, the final of the Deathmatch is this weekend. Teams of comedians go head to head in a battle to see who can make the audience laugh the hardest, to then be crowned Deathmatch champions.

Fresh from storming the Fringe, Showstoppers roll out their improvised songs and gags in the West End. This full-length comedy musical will probably sell out so book now.

Probably the most recognised comedy improv in the capital, and in one of London’s most famed venues.

This funny and energetic show created by Eric Lampaert will have entertaining and bizarre twists on everything from Twilight to Pulp Fiction.

Alasdair Buddington’s Impro Stars, The Rubiks and Improv Central take over the basement of Soho’s Freedom Bar once a month. The teams of comedians bring their fast, furious scriptless sketches together for one night.
