Brian Sewell book offer

1 November 2012

Evening Standard art critic Brian Sewell has launched his latest book, Naked Emperors: Criticisms of English Contemporary Art.

At the launch party held at the Evening Standard's offices in Kensington, his publisher Naim Attallah said Brian was the most read and inspiring art critic in the world.

"The first book of his memoirs, Outsider, which we published last year, reveals him to be a man of multiple talents," said Attallah, "with a religious fervour about everything he touches. He is candid beyond the realm of normality."

Brian certainly touched Charles Saatchi.

Editor Sarah Sands read a warm message from the modern art collector who has suffered Sewell's scorn in the past: "I wish I was brave enough to come and give him a big man-hug and kiss on the cheek for being so Brian Sewelly."
