In which the Sheffield band who cracked America back in the early 1980s, boast about all the “great” songs they've written, then proceed to play a load of numbers that cause only the tiniest of bells to ring. There's not much inter-song chit-chat during this 2013 gig, and only a passing reference to guitarist Steve Clark (who died of a codeine overdose, in 1991). The mood is what you might call cheerful. Lead singer, Joe Elliott, used to be supermodel pretty. These days, he looks more like Gerard Depardieu. He ambles around the venue like a man throwing darts in a pub. The Las Vegas crowd, naturally, go wild.
