Brandon Flowers has been concentrating on a solo career lately, but that hasn’t stopped him from reuniting his band The Killers for their tenth annual charity Christmas single. Dirt Sledding is an old-fashioned rock and roller with a cameo from Richard Dreyfuss, streaming now.

Mercury winner Antony Hegarty has a new name and a new sound, but still the same unique voice. In collaboration with producers Hudson Mohawke and Oneohtrix Point Never, 4 Degrees is the powerful first song from a forthcoming album as ANOHNI.

After various solo projects, Baltimore’s Animal Collective have announced their tenth album for February. The first song, FloriDada, is an enticing start, with layered voices pinging over rubbery synths.

Four years since the last Fleet Foxes album, the harmonious band’s singer Robin Pecknold has put an appropriately titled soul cover on his Soundcloud page. Out of Sight, Out of Mind by The Five Keys is a pretty stopgap while he completes an undergraduate degree at Columbia University.

The songs aired so far from Santigold’s January album have been consistently catchy and sunny, not least Who Be Lovin’ Me, a woozy, sing-song collaboration with Atlanta rapper iLoveMakonnen. It has a suitably slow-motion video on YouTube now.
