Octavian is taking it easy since winning the BBC’s Sound of 2019 poll at the start of the year. New Shapes sees him offering relaxed, melodic vocals to a downbeat new production by Diplo. It’s from a new Diplo EP coming out in a week.

St Vincent caused a bit of a stir with her sultry duet with Dua Lipa at the Grammys ceremony, so she’s just put out a surreal new video for the song in question, Masseduction. It arrived on YouTube this week.

Texan R&B singer Khalid went double platinum with his debut album in the US when he was still a teenager. Now he’s 21 and back with a smooth new single, Talk, which sets the tone for a second log-player on the way in April.

Liverpool electronic band Ladytron got plenty of buzz at the start of the last decade but have mostly been quiet during this one. A self-titled album, their first since 2011, is out today and sounds instantly familiar thanks to their icy analogue synth work.

Best to make the most of Ephyra, the gorgeous second album from Kendal band Woman’s Hour, which is out today. The trio decided to split up before its release.
