Back in 2014, four-piece swing group Jack Pack turned heads on Britain’s Got Talent with their smooth retro style, working their way into the finals with wit, charm, and perfect vocal harmonies.

Now they’re back, approaching the release of their debut album later in the year, after once again storming Britain’s Got Talent in May with a live performance of Light My Fire.

In an exclusive video, the lads are shown working on their debut LP in the studio, laying down swing and big-band classics with the might of a 72-piece orchestra behind them.

“The album’s got some really lovely, big, powerful, John Barry-type orchestrations,” explains Andrew Bourn, who’s described by his fellow band-mates as “the natural leader”.

The group also enthuse about Forever, a previously unrecorded original track by legendary songwriter Randy Newman, which forms the heart of the album. Bourn describes it as “the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard.”

Judging by the reaction to their live return on Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year – hint: it was rapturous both in the studio and on social media – the group are set to be everywhere soon. It’s time to join the Pack.

Jack Pack is released on October 30 through Syco Music
