Funny, really, that as things edge slowly towards normal, the music world goes a little quiet – but take it as artists getting ready to return to business as usual.

That said, there's still plenty to tune into this week, as the likes of Empress Of and Perfume Genius follow up their latest releases with live streams.

Radiohead are back at it, too, reaching back into the archives for another favourite show.

These are the gigs we'll be tuning into this week.

Waxahatchee

Waxahatchee, AKA American artist Katie Crutchfield, is set to perform a series of streams where she plays through each of her albums in full. Last week, it was American Weekend from 2012, and this time round, it's her acclaimed follow-up, Cerulean Salt.

Empress Of

Lockdown hasn't slowed Lorely Rodriguez, who released her latest album, I'm Your Empress Of, back in April. This week, she'll be streaming her technicolour blend of pop and rn'b through the evening. If you're staying up late, metal giants Metallica are also streaming on Youtube, 1am our time.

All in WA

Pearl Jam, Macklemore, Brandi Carlile and Dave Matthews are among the musicians set to take part in this fundraising gig, which is in aid of those affected by the panemic in America's Washington State.

No surprise here, as the OK Computer gang have been regularly putting out their archive shows. This week, they'll be reaching back into the past again for another favourite gig. No information on what or where yet, but the shows so far have definitely been worth watching.

Perfume Genius

Following his critically acclaimed Set My Heart on Fire Immediately, released last month, Perfume Genius takes to Youtube. Tune in for slices of his delicately done, intimate, avant-garde pop, but expect the old slice of scuzzy guitar to slip through the cracks too.

Download

The celebration of heavy metal won't let a little virus get in the way of things. Over the weekend, it'll be streaming sets from Kiss, Iron Maiden, System of a Down – showing the best bits of their previous Download shows – as well as live shows from the likes of the Darkness and Steel Panther.

Friday - Sunday, youtube.com
