Paul Simon has been confirmed as the final headliner of Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.

The legendary musician will close the festival at London’s Hyde Park on July, 15. The gig is being billed as "The Farewell Performance".

He’ll be joined on the bill by revered singer-songwriters James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt on what promises to be a fantastic final day of live music at the event.

Tickets for the event go on sale at 9am on February 2. Tickets can be bought here.

Simon formed the legendary folk group Simon & Garfunkel in 1964, penning classic songs The Sound of Silence, Mrs Robinson and Bridge Over Troubled Water among many others.

He launching a hugely successful solo career in 1970, with hits such as Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard, You Can Call me Al, and Graceland.

Simon is the latest act to join the 2018 festival line-up, following the likes of The Cure, Eric Clapton, Bruno Mars, Roger Waters and Michael Buble.
