Post Malone has released a new single with Tyla Yaweh called Tommy Lee, with Yaweh telling NME he chose the name as the Motley Crue drummer "just doesn't give a f***".

The single, which Malone dropped this morning, includes lyrics about the fast life of an A-lister and features a contribution from Lee himself.

The pair sing: “Living life like a rockstar, pulling me stretch limousines… Pull up with a drum like I’m Tommy Lee.”

Malone and Yaweh recorded the song in isolation, before sending the track to Lee himself. Speaking to SiriusXM Radio, Lee spoke about working with Malone and recording a beat for the song in isolation.

“It’s killer,” he said. “It’s basically [an ode to] living that rock star life that people in hip-hop always seem to talk about.”

He added: “I’ve known [Malone] for a while and that dude is a rock star, let me tell you,” Lee declared. “He’s a freaking maniac.”

Tommy Lee is a founding member of hair metal favourites Mötley Crüe. He released eight albums with the band, and his antics helped give rise to their reputation as hard partying hellraisers. Four times married and engaged a further three times, Lee is also sometimes remembered for a string of high profile relationships; a sex tape of him and wife Pamela Anderson made headlines across the world when it was leaked in 1995.

The song named for him is the latest track released by Malone, following the duets It’s a Raid with another notorious rocker, Ozzy Osbourne, and Forever with Justin Bieber.
