Billy Elliot rubs shoulders with the Phantom of the Opera as cast members from the West End’s long-running shows pose on stage.

They were brought together to showcase the 17 shows eligible for the audience prize at the Olivier Awards next month.

From left, Kim Ismay of Mamma Mia! puts her platformed foot forward under the eye of Steeve Brudey’s Mufasa from The Lion King and with We Will Rock You’s Emma O’Toole at her silver toe.

Ken Drury from The Woman in Black keeps a sombre eye on Rhona Croker of One Man, Two Guvnors to the choreographed percussion of Stomp at the back.

Jacqueline Hughes from The Wizard of Oz-inspired Wicked takes the soap box next to Joey from War Horse. Centre-stage are Michael Fenner of The Mousetrap, Jon Lee as Frankie Vallie from The Jersey Boys and David Jordan from the Michael Jackson musical Thriller.

Harrison Dowzell is Billy Elliot with ballet girl co-star Bibi Jay alongside Ella Yard and Elliot Reeve from Matilda.

Rock of Ages’ Natalie Andreou poses behind Adam Jackson-Smith as Richard Hannay from The 39 Steps. Marcus Lovett is the Phantom and Louise Bowden is Singin’ in the Rain as Kathy Selden. Voting at olivierawards.com/vote
