A troupe of Chinese performers will take to the London stage for the first time tonight with a theatrical performance of Shaolin Kung Fu.

These pictures show some of the 30-plus Soul of Shaolin performers putting the finishing touches to their show – which will open today at the Troubadour Theatre in Wembley.

The show was the first production from China to appear on Broadway and originally featured at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The 18-show run is the first time it has been performed in London.

Spectators can expect an “action-packed theatrical experience combining dazzling martial arts expertise with a touching story of loss and redemption.”

Shaolin Kung Fu is one of the oldest and most famous styles of the martial art that was developed in the Shaolin temple, which is located in the Henan province of China, during its 1500-year history.
