Big Brother was plagued with technical difficulties during Wednesday night’s live broadcast.

Viewers were left confused as the live feed was interrupted during the ‘shock twist’, which saw the housemates finally meet ‘the others’.

But at times during the big reveal, viewers were left staring at blank screens or were treated to extended ad breaks.

“That was a complete waste of time. The live twist was an epic fail! Extremely disappointed. #BBUK #BBUKLIVE,” wrote one person on Twitter.

“What a waste off time that was what was the point in the twist honestly you going get people turning off soon rubbish bigbrother (sic),” someone else posted.

Other viewers seemed rather underwhelmed by the ‘twist’ which was that the existence of the other house was revealed to those in the main house.

“#BBUKlive that wasn't a twist, that was a waste of half an hour and a bad feed on live TV that was on for 10 seconds then advert,” wrote one viewer.

During the episode, housemate Chelsea Sign was banished to the other house after he was chosen to join then.

“Chelsea, you are about to vanish from the Big Brother house. You are no longer a housemate,” said Big Brother.

The other housemates were then made aware that they weren’t alone, which came as no big surprise to any of them.
