Big Brother’s Ellie has ended her romance with second chance housemate Sam, after she became jealous of him spending time with fellow contestant Isabelle.

Despite the pair sharing plenty of kisses in recent days, Ellie revealed to new arrival Simone that she feels things are moving too fast with Sam, in scenes set to air on Tuesday.

Then later in the show she and Sam sat down for a chat in the bathroom.

Ellie explained she was calling time on the romance, saying: “All you do is follow Isabelle around! I’d rather just be friends.”

But Sam wasn’t happy with the abrupt ending and argued: “I get on with her! For f**ks sake […] I’ve not done anything wrong. I don’t fancy her, I fancy you.”

His protestations weren’t enough to convince Ellie, who reiterated she believes they’re better off as friends.

Elsewhere Joe picked a fight with latecomer Andrew in the smoking area.

After Andrew asked Joe if he was in a bad mood, the nightclub owner snapped: “It’s about the second time now you’ve intervened in a conversation that’s had nothing to do with you. I find it insulting. I’m better off keeping my mouth shut.”

The argument intensified as Andrew retorted: “But you don’t have to be so highly strung […] but if I feel you’re being abrupt for no reason, I will say.”

It’s not been the easiest week for Joe who has been questioning his loyalties to other housemates since he was put up for eviction.

Big Brother continues tonight at 10pm on Channel 5.
