Amanda Barrie has become the last person to leave the Celebrity Big Brother house before the grand final.

Barrie was the third and final evictee to be announced during Tuesday night’s live show, hosted by Emma Willis, following Ashley James and Malika Haqq being given the boot earlier in the show as 9th and 10th placed celebrities.

Former Coronation Street actress Barrie told the host all about her friendship with Ann Widdecombe, saying: "There was a great row going on about Ann. I felt, well I knew, that they were trying to persuade people to go against her. That was what I thought and it was sort of like school/playground things.

"I think anybody who has done Strictly Come Dancing and pantomime can't be all bad. She's got a soft centre really."

James admitted it was “overwhelming” to be out but conceded that she was happy to have left, feeling like she “lived every day in the east way she could”.

And on her possible romance with Ginuwine, who was fifth to leave the Elstree house, James explained: “I can’t remember not liking him. When it came to the VTs I was like ‘phew, I’m not going to fancy anybody’ but I can’t remember what point [I did].

“It’s all such a blur but I can’t remember not being around him so, when he left, I didn’t really expect his name to go. I got on with things but I missed him.”

The 30-year-old star admitted that she was now excited to spend time with Ginuwine on the outside.

Haqq - who opened up about missing pregnant best friend Khloé Kardashian in the Diary Room - responded to Jess Impiazzi’s claims about being “shut down” and fought back against any malice towards Widdecombe and Barrie.

Earlier in the episode, the housemates all gave a short speech on what it means to be a woman as they kicked off the two-day task celebrating females.

To start the games, the housemates transformed into two iconic girlbands - The Spice Girls and Destiny’s Child.

The booming voice of Big Brother allocated popstar roles to the celebrities, with Widdecombe immediately taking umbrage at her character of Scary Spice and the Wannabe lyrics.

Haqq, Lynch and Barrie performed Destiny’s Child classic Independent Woman while the rest took on the Spice Girls hit.

Celebrity Big Brother continues weekdays at 9pm on Channel 5.
