Dancing on Ice eliminee Kem Cetinay has said it ‘was really nice’ of his ex-girlfriend Amber Davies to tweet her support of him.

Speaking on Lorraine the morning after his exit from the skating competition, the Love Island star said: “[It] was really nice.

“I saw that just before. It’s so nice to see that. I’m glad she’s staying stuff like that.

“I think we both come out [of Love Island] and I was so oblivious to any of this, even when I done Dancing On Ice, it was such a nerve-wracking thing because you kind of feel like, for me, I felt like do I deserve my place on this show?

“Me and Amber shared that, where we were both in the same boat, we came out together we could kind of do it together. It’s nice that we both support each other even though we’re not together anymore.”

Cetinay lost out in the skate-off to former rugby star Max Evans on Sunday’s Dancing on Ice, despite achieving one of the highest scores of the series.

He also opened up about struggling with anxiety and depression on the show due to his mum being ill in the interview.

He told host Lorraine Kelly: “I think that’s what was hard with this show, when I first went on it everyone saw that energetic excitable side and people didn’t see that other side to me.

“It was hard to show it. I was a bit nervous. But I’m glad she was there to see it. We’ve come a long way.”

Lorraine continues weekdays at 8.30 am on ITV.
