Love Island's Dr Alex George has reached out to I’m A Celebrity’s John Barrowman to offer a supportive message about his sunburn.

Barrowman was pulled up by viewers for getting a little more red-faced than anticipated ahead of his I'm A Celebrity debut on Sunday night - and factor 50 fan George couldn’t help but relate.

He wrote: “Hey @JohnBarrowman I know how it feels to suffer from sunburn on national television.

“Stay strong my man, we are rooting for you! #ImACeleb.”

Fans backed the support as they related to “pale people problems.”
