Loose Women was forced off air briefly after a protest by fathers' rights campaigners.

During a segment on Coleen Nolan’s health kick, Wednesday's show was forced to cut away to its Loose Women logo as three men began to chant: “Fathers for justice, no kids no cash, fathers for justice, no kids no cash.”

Despite cutting away momentarily, the show resumed less than 30 seconds later, with Nolan joking: “Can we get back to me?”

A spokeswoman for the show said: "The show was briefly interrupted today by three members of the audience who were making a peaceful protest."

A message from the show’s official Twitter account added: "Sorry for any disruption to your viewing”

Immediately after the incident was sorted out, Loose Women also tweeted: “*Apologies for that small interruption*”
