ITV has cancelled today's episode of Loose Women due to the announcement of a snap General Election.
The chat show has been pulled from the schedules as Prime Minister Theresa May has called for an early election in a surprise statement.
Instead of Loose Women, ITV is airing continuous news coverage of the developing story.
The show’s official Twitter account confirmed the news.
“Due to @Number10gov making the general election announcement today, Loose Women will NOT be on air as @itvnews brings you all the latest,” the post said.
“We'll be back on air tomorrow lunchtime as usual! #GeneralElection”
The episode had been set to feature contributions from Megan Mullally, best known as Karen from hit sitcom Will & Grace, as well as former 911 singer Jimmy Constable.
However, the guests will be back in a later episode, Loose Women confirmed: “Due to the general election announcement, today's guests - @MeganOMullally & @jimmyconstable - will appear on the show at a later date.”

Despite the major unfolding news story, some fans of Loose Women were ‘fuming’ at its cancellation.
A spokesperson for the show said: "Due to breaking news regarding the general election Loose Women will not be on air today."
May announced her call for a General Election in a statement delivered on the steps of 10 Downing Street, which if approved by parliament will take place on June 8.
“We need a general election and we need one now,” she said.
