The only remaining Married At First Sight couple have announced their intention to divorce, meaning all 10 show couples have now split up.
The seemingly unsuccessful show was dealt another blow on Thursday evening when the last of the series three matches, Stephanie and Ben, declared it was over between them.
Speaking to Lizzie Cundy and Stephen Leng on Fubar Radio, Ben revealed: “Stephanie and I are still friends but I couldn’t give her what she wanted and what she needed, and time is of the essence.
“And why waste someone’s time if it’s not there? It killed me. After the end of the show we were giving it a go, but as my mum said, you don’t know someone until you've lived with them.”
He continued: “It broke my heart to do what I had to do, I couldn’t give someone so lovely and so nice what she wanted. She was gutted to be totally honest and she still wanted to try, but it ain't there, kiddo.
“I was thinking, 'How can you love me?'. You can’t play with affairs of the heart can you.”
The 36-year-old also hinted at having already moved on from his new bride, revealing: “I've had a kiss and a cuddle”.
Stephanie, 32, and Ben agreed to stay together and work on their relationship on-screen, with Stephanie confessing that she could see herself falling in love with her new beau.
But the split, which follows right on the tail of Harriet and Richard as well as Wayne and Carrie, spells yet another failed endeavour for the Channel 4 matchmaking show.
