Nadine Coyle has hit back at claims she and Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl do not get on - branding it as "fake news'.

The group split in 2013 amid rumours of feuds and in-fighting, and the Irish singer recently admitted that she had not really spoken with her bandmates since then, with the exception of Sarah Harding.

However, opening up to fellow campmate Jacqueline Jossa on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Nadine said rumours about her relationship with Cheryl were not accurate.

As they were sat by the creek, Jossa asked Nadine if she got on with everyone in the group, and she replied: “Yes.”

The actress said she had heard that Nadine did not get on with Cheryl, and she responded: “Fake news. It was not a thing.”

Girls Aloud – made up of Nadine, Cheryl, Sarah, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh – was created during TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.

Nadine said being in the group had been “really good”.

She said: “I like being in a girl band. I am one of three sisters and went to an all-girls grammar school so I’m used to being around girls.”

Jacqueline and Adele Roberts then began to belt out the band's hit song 'The Promise' and dubbed themselves 'the Jungle Girls'.

Nadine added that she would treat the rest of the campmates to performance if there was a karaoke machine later on in the series.

During Tuesday night's episode Nadine spoke to fellow camp mate and Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway about her life in the band.

Describing why she does not speak to the girls as much, she said: "Everyone gets on with their lives. I was friends with them all, it was all nice and lovely.

"But I was always in the gay bars with all the guys, I'd be out partying, me and ten guys. I was having a laugh, I was 18/19 years old."

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues on ITV on Thursday at 9pm.
