Rebekah Vardy has described herself as "fearless" as she was confirmed as the latest contestant on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.

Vardy, who is married to Leicester City footballer Jamie, touched down in Brisbane on Monday ahead of the series launch this weekend.

Speaking ahead of her stay in the famous jungle camp, she said: “I’m excited, it’s going to be great. Am I scared of anything? Not at all.”

The mother-of-four came close to pulling out of the series over fears she wouldn’t be able to cope with not seeing her children.

Rebekah, who has Sofia, three, and Finlay, ten months, with Jamie as well as 11-year-old Megan and six-year-old Taylor from a previous relationship, has booked flights for them to be waiting for her when she comes out of the jungle.

“She was about to pull out because she can’t bear the thought of being away from them for so long, however she has now arranged to fly them out too so that they are with her the minute she leaves the camp,” the source said.

“Rebekah is going to be the last celeb to land in Australia because this has been such a last minute decision and she doesn’t want to be separated from her family any longer than necessary.”

Rebekah is one of 10 famous faces gearing themselves up for weeks of Bushtucker trials, dining on testicles and bracing the jungle elements.

YouTube star Jack Maynard was the first to touch down in Brisbane last week, followed by Made in Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo and former footballer Dennis Wise.

The Saturday’s singer Vanessa White, actor Jamie Lomas, Coronation Street actress Jennie McAlpine, boxer Amir Khan, Boris Johnson's dad Stanley and comedian Shappi Khorsandi have also arrived Down Under.

I’m A Celebrity is on ITV, Sunday at 9pm.
