From May 17-19, children can explore the buildings and public spaces in the City of London during the inaugural Archikids Festival.

Organised by Open-City, who put on the annual Open House London weekend in September, this free architecture festival for families includes workshops, activities and tours of iconic buildings within the Square Mile, among them the One New Change roof terrace, Guildhall Art Gallery, Broadgate Tower and Leadenhall Market.

Architects, artists and designers will run activities for kids aged 5-11. Highlights include skyscraper sketching, a photographic treasure hunt and a scooter tour of the City. The aim of the festival is to encourage children to engage with their surroundings and celebrate great buildings and architecture.
