Formula 1 powerboat racing returns to London for the first time in more than 30 years
Formula 1 powerboat racing is returning to the capital for the first time in more than 30 years.
The London Grand Prix (also known as the F1H20) will take place on June 16 - 17 as part of the 2018 World Championship season and will see 24 of the world’s leading powerboat drivers take part.
It will be the first time since 1984 that powerboat racing has taken place in London.
The two day race takes place at London’s Royal Docks and spectators can expect to see racers reach over 140mph in the water.
The event will showcase the latest powerboat technology and engineering as part of London Tech Week 2018 - Europe’s largest festival of technology and innovation.

The London Grand Prix will feature as part of the 38th F1H20 World Championship season - where eight cities around the world (including Abu Dhabi and Miami) host powerboat races.
