Fright night at the BFI

Zombie movie fans will be in for a real treat as the BFI stages a horror-packed evening of entertainment.

The genre has spawned many bizarre cult films and visitors will get the chance to see four of the most recent box-office successes.

The marathon night kicks-off with Slither starting at 11.30pm, where residents transform into mutant zombies.

Following the opener will be the classic 28 Days Later, directed by Danny Boyle at 1.40pm, with the film's sequel 28 Weeks Later, released last year, due to begin at a sleep-defying 4am.

And if you successfully manage to get this far with the eyelids still propped open, the night will be rounded off with some light-hearted 'rom-zom' in the form of the popular Shaun of the Dead.

There are 30 minute breaks in between each screening, with a variety of refreshments available to buy including the all-important tea and coffee.

The event is scheduled to end at 9am the following morning.
