The Flavour Gallery: World's first sensory art gallery pop up to open in London

Art you can taste, smell and eat? Yes please.
Earlier this year Smith and Sinclair reintroduced us Londoners to their boozy sweet shop on Carnaby Street. Now, they’ve upped their game even further with the world’s first multisensory art gallery: The Flavour Gallery.
Based in a basement in Hoxton, gallery-loving folk from across the capital will be given the chance to touch, taste and even eat the art around them. Now there’s a few things you can’t do at The Tate Modern.
Featuring artists from the likes of Terry Pastor, London Loom and Anja Predojevic, every single artwork inside the space has been specially commissioned to challenge what a traditional gallery should be.
What of this challenge? Well, you’ll have to go and gobble down and smell the stuff to find out. But judging from Smith and Sinclair's previous endeavours, everything from very fancy alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, boozy sweets, edible perfumes and bubbles could be on offer – all very arty ones, of course.
And if you’re a collector of all things artistic, we have even better news. All the artists involved in the pop up have created unique artworks, which you’ll be able to pick up and take home. Payment necessary.
The Flavour Gallery runs from Thursday 9th November until Sunday 17th December at The Hoxton Basement, 12 – 18 Hoxton Street, London, N1 6ND. Limited tickets priced at £15 are available from Design My Night and can be booked here.
