Special Children's Day is back at ZSL London Zoo, helping to make the wonders of the Animal Kingdom accessible for all.

Taking place over the weekend of 10 and 11 September, Special Children's Day caters specifically for families of children with disabilities, and includes British Sign Language interpreters at animal talks and demonstrations, and guided 'Touch Tours' for visually-impaired children.

As well as getting up close to more than 750 species of animals at ZSL London Zoo, Special Children's Day guests will be entertained by a live band throughout the weekend, and have exclusive access to the 'Discovery Zone'.

Created especially for the event, children can take part in storytelling sessions, have a go on the free bouncy castle, or simply relax in the Discovery Zone's chill-out area.

With extra staff and facilities to ensure a smooth day for all - including changing tents, additional disabled toilets and a chance to meet charities offering information and support - Special Children's Day visitors also receive up to 20 per cent discount in the Zoo's food and retail outlets.
