Free beer - is there anything better?

Plenty of Londoners are eyeing up a few pints now that Dry January is drawing to a close, and like most things in life, beer is always better when you don’t have to pay for it.

Thankfully, BrewDog are here to help out.

The brewery has launched a special giveaway, offering people free beer if they come into one of their 37 UK branches dressed as Elvis Presley this weekend.

Why, we hear you ask? Well, believe it or not, the giveaway has been put in place by the owners of the chain after they won a court case against the Elvis Presley estate.

The brewery’s popular grapefruit-infused Elvis Juice beer had been the subject of a lengthy legal action from the late singer’s estate alledging that it infringed his trademark.

However, the case has now been resolved, and the chain is celebrating by giving away a free schooner of BrewDog Elvis Juice to anyone dresses as the great man on February 3 and February 4.

“This is a victory for common sense. It’s a triumph for all underdogs battling against corporate inflexibility and entrenched hubris," BrewDog co-founder James Watt said.
