Parlour review: Regent Street setting with good craft beer options

A great Sunday roasts option in NW1
Ben Norum6 December 2017

This neighbourhood venue combines great craft beer options with fresh and seasonal offerings from the kitchen, in a versatile setting which is just as good for a quick pint after work as it is for a full-blown meal.

Chef Jesse Dunford Wood has the helm in the kitchen, and that’s a very good thing indeed. Particularly on Sundays when the roasts are a highlight.

Choose from sirloin of beef with fresh horseradish, chicken breast with bread sauce, or pork with apple sauce. Or opt for Dick Whittington's Knap Sack Chicken (which is salt-crusted) to share.

The Yorkshires are plump and the gravy plentiful. This is fun, inventive cooking but it stays true to tradition.

The light and airy interiors are a good place to spend a little time. Behind the bar you’ll find six keg options, rotated weekly. The Parlour’s lager, made for them by a Belgian brewery, is well worth a try too.
