Salon Brixton: For wine and a bite to eat, there are few places better in SW9

The wine list is thoughtfully short, nicely varied and with some surprises too

This is a cheeky inclusion as Salon is not really a bar, but forget about the technicalities for a moment; if you’re after a glass of wine and a bite to eat, there are few places better in SW9.

Though Salon has been going since 2012, they’ve recently reopened after a thoughtful reshuffle of their affairs. They’ve come back better than ever. The wine list is thoughtfully short, nicely varied and with some surprises including orange wine for those who want to try the stuff. Whatever you do, order the ‘nduja croquettes – beautiful little beasts.
