The Churchill Arms review: Eccentric Notting Hill pub serving Thai Food

A characterful boozer in W8
Prime Ministers & pints: The Churchill Arms in Notting Hill
Harry Fletcher29 November 2017

You can’t miss this characterful pub on Kensington Church Street: the pub’s eye-catching exterior is stuffed with colourful flowers and flags, making it one of the most instantly recognised pubs in west London.

While it’s named after the legendary British Prime Minister, the pub is actually Irish, and it’s also been well known for serving Thai food for over 25 years.

Inside, the Fuller’s drinking spot is packed to the rafters with curiosities and paraphernalia, and if you’re over 6 foot you’ll need to keep a careful eye out for low-hanging pots and lanterns. Outside and in, the Churchill Arms is a real celebration of British and Irish eccentricity, and well worth a visit.
