The Colonies review: A classic London pub in Victoria

A popular after-work spot serving a wide range of craft ales, beers and wines
Flag bearer: The beer garden outside The Colonies in Victoria

The Colonies on Wilfred Street is another spot tailor-made for an after-work drink.

As well as a wide range of craft ales, beers and wines, the beer garden is popular among city workers and the heated smoking area is an added bonus too. This unpretentious drinking spot does a solid job all round, and if you’re peckish, the kitchen puts on proper pub grub, too. It’s a versatile choice for a few pots of ale after leaving the office.
