The Windmill review: An upmarket pub with a great pie selection

A smart, but relaxed place to enjoy a hearty menu and good cask ales
Pies and pints: The Windmill in Mayfair

Without wanting to sound like The Office’s David Brent, if you want a really good pie, you need to get yourself to The Windmill.

This upmarket Young’s pub has two pie rooms (two!) dedicated entirely to serving freshly made pies and other sophisticated takes on pub favourites. Even if pies aren’t your thing, the Windmill is a smart, but relaxed place to treat yourself to a pint in a plush part of town.

A choice of eight cask ales make this a favourite amongst more discerning drinkers, and there’s also a roof terrace hidden away above the pub too. Definitely one to try out.
