Aldi is looking for wine tasters to sample bottles for free

As part of its 24th wine club, the German supermarket chain is asking people to sample the bottles for free and review them during the club which will take place every three months with new participants each time.
Participants will receive three bottles of wine across six weeks and are asked to give an honest review of it on social media using the hashtag #AldiWineClub.
“Know a thing or two about your grapes? Fancy yourself as a wine expert? Well now you have the chance to have your say as we are after budding wine connoisseurs to join our new panel,” Aldi said in its announcement.
It continued: “Every three months we will select 30 burgeoning wine experts to join us on a tasting journey of Aldi’s delicious wines.
“Being part of the panel means that you’ll be the first to hear about our award-winning wines, and we’ll send you three delicious bottles from our range to try over a six week period.”
The supermarket added it will send tasting notes to help with the reviews to guide participants on ‘everything from the aroma and body to the taste’.

The callout comes after Aldi launched an online shopping service for the first time last month, so that customers can shop remotely while in lockdown.
It began by selling ‘essential parcels’ filled with 22 items including tinned soup, rice and pasta, retailing at £24.99.
