Down the cakehole: firepuck

Firebread pizza and a game of Pucket
Victoria Stewart21 March 2013

I am one of the smug owners of a Pucket set — the game where you spring pucks at your opponent across a wooden board — having bought our local shop’s last one in a Christmas shopping frenzy.

But if you don’t have one at home, you haven’t played the game, or you have no idea what I’m talking about, I suggest you hot-foot it to The Doodle Bar tonight for its first Firepuck event.

Firepuck is an evening of playing Pucket and eating hot “firebread” pizza cooked by British Street Food Award winner the Well Kneaded Wagon. It sounds fun but the bar has issued a warning to players to keep an eye out for the Pucket master. If you can beat the man in the gold jacket, he will buy you dinner.

Now don’t all start flinging your pizzas at once.
