Blanchette: Quirk, cheese and charcuterie

Tapas a la France for this trompe l'oeil mural donned bistro
Ben Norum19 December 2017

This quirky Soho and Shoreditch bistro takes traditional French dishes and serves them tapas-style, meaning you get to mix and match. It makes sense given the predominance of cheeses and charcuterie, but more complex offerings such as grilled cured duck breast and sea bass with Provençal crab bisque also go down a treat. A space decorated with mismatched furniture and homely nic-nacs ramps up the fun, while highly reasonable prices and gluggable wine adds to the care-free atmosphere.
