Set on the corner of a busy stretch of road between Kennington and Elephant & Castle, Brasserie Toulouse Lautrec is in almost every way an unexpected find. Expect rustic charm rather than finery and finesses, lots of wine – at reasonable prices – and regular live jazz. Steak tartare, prepared at the table, and the chef’s signature cassoulet are high points.
